Sayan Lasanam

ถึงจะท่องจำตำราได้น้อย
แต่ประพฤติชอบธรรม
ละราคะ โทสะ และโมหะได้
รู้แจ้งเห็นจริง มีจิตหลุดพ้น
ไม่ยึดมั่น ถือมั่น ทั้งปัจจุบันและอนาคต
เขาย่อมได้รับผลที่พึงได้จากการบวช

Though little he recites the Sacred Texts,
But puts the precepts into practice,
Forsaking lust, hatred and delusion,
With right knowledge, with mind well freed,
Cling to nothing here or hereafter,
He has a share in religious life.
